James P. Quent

A highly-regarded government and public policy strategist, Jim adds to the PLA team of professionals another 15 years of experience on both the state and city levels.

Immediately prior to joining PLA, Jim was deputy chief of staff for NYS Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver. He also served as the Speaker's legislative director from March 2004 to October 2006.

His vast portfolio of experience includes positions as a legislative and communications associate with the Medical Society of New York, chief of staff to NYS Assemblyman Alexander J. Gromack, as well as senior coordinator for regional services within the NYS Assembly. On the political side, Jim has managed campaigns for the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee and directed communications and field programs for NYS gubernatorial campaigns and county executive races.

A graduate of the State University at Albany, Jim was featured in the City Hall News list of "40 Under 40 Rising Stars: The Next Generation of Political Leaders in New York."

His depth of experience and proven success in bringing order to a dynamic political environment will benefit all of PLA's clients.
