Patricia A. Tinto
Media Relations

Patricia Tinto joined PLA in 2005 as Director of Communications and Marketing. Previously, Patricia had worked in several positions within state government, beginning as a Community Affairs Coordinator in a Brooklyn state senate district and moving on to Director of Communications for the Senate Finance Committee/Minority. In addition to her roles with the NYS Senate, Patricia served as speechwriter to the Commissioner of the Division of Housing and Community Renewal under former Governor Mario Cuomo, press officer for then Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer and Media Relations Director for a city-wide political campaign.  As an account executive for a public affairs firm in Manhattan, Patricia led grassroots and media relations efforts for health care organizations, public benefit corporations and nonprofits.

A cum laude graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University, Patricia also studied at the Universita` per Stranieri in Perugia, Italy. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Barnard College Alumnae Association, head of its Regional Networks Committee and President of the Barnard College Club of Connecticut.

Drawing upon the breadth of her communications skills, Patricia provides timely information to PLA clients, manages the website contents and produces the weekly client electronic newsletter as well as the firm’s marketing campaign.
