Darren Dopp, Partner (Media Relations)

Darren joined the firm in 2007 after a 20-year career in government and journalism. He was a trusted top aide to two governors, an attorney general and a legislative leader. Before entering public service, Darren was an award-winning journalist for the Associated Press and Gannett newspapers.

As communications director for Attorney General Eliot Spitzer for eight years, Darren burnished Spitzer's reputation as the nation's leading government reformer, and helped him win his 2006 election for governor by the largest winning margin in state history.

Darren heads PLA's media relations unit, which provides clients with a wide range of communications services from traditional public relations to messaging to image and branding consultation to the use of new communications technology.
