Partners: Patricia Lynch, President & Founder:Pat Lynch established Patricia Lynch Associates (PLA) in January of 2001, ushering in a new generation of lobbyists. At the core of her business philosophy is a commitment to providing superior client service with an extraordinary team of experienced and bi-partisan government relations specialists. With this strong foundation and its absolute integrity, PLA is one of the top two lobbying and government relations groups in Albany. The New York Times called her rise "astonishing" and spoke of Ms. Lynch in an editorial piece as the "grand dame of the lobbyist corps." The Associated Press said there is no "equivalent to her success" and Crain's NY Business named her one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in New York. In 2008, Patricia Lynch founded an international business development corporation, Lynch Sosa & Associates (LSA) in Panama City, Panama. LSA assists American and other international companies in establishing an operational presence in Panama and helps those firms expand throughout Latin America. LSA is a partnership between Lynch, and one of Panama's most influential families, the Sosas. The family is led by Juan B. Sosa, the former Panamanian Ambassador to the U.S who helped lead the struggle against the dictator Manuel Noriega in 1988. For the eight years prior to the establishment of PLA, Pat served as a top staff member to the Speaker of the Assembly, Sheldon Silver. During her tenure in the Speaker's office, Pat's responsibilities included setting legislative policy, directing media strategy and negotiating with the Executive Chamber on budget and legislative initiatives. In addition, she oversaw all political components affiliated with the Speaker's role. Her position brought Pat into close working contact with leaders in the Assembly and Senate as well as with both political parties. Her many accomplishments have earned her universal respect. Also within Pat's public service portfolio are several years on Capitol Hill in Washington DC where she worked as a chief aide to two members of Congress and a decade of experience in Albany as head of the Senate Minority Communications unit. Outside of PLA, Pat serves on the boards of the Palace Theatre, a performing arts center in Albany and the Greenwich Village-Chelsea Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Partnership for New York City, the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), Association for a Better New York (ABNY), the Business Council and the Alliance for Downtown New York. Along with her partner Enrique Sosa in Panama, Pat is a member of the influential American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama. Altogether, Pat brings close to 25 years of government and political experience in both the New York State Legislature and Congress. Pat is proud to have assembled a well-seasoned team of Associates whose portfolios' complement the talents and expertise she has brought to bear in the formation of Patricia Lynch Associates.
